Last week I went down to Maryland for a visit and got a sneak peak of my jewelry bench; My wonderful Grandfather is building this for me! It’s solid as a rock and 7 feet long! Once it’s finished I’ll post more pictures of it in the studio. Thanks Grandad!

That is a heirloom bench. You Grandad sure loves you. Now if you ever lack space for that I’ll be more than happy to store it for you.

Need an apprentice to help you out using that nice new bench? I have 35 years working in jewelry…I should be a fast learner!?

Thanks for the comments! My grandfather is a retired carpenter/cabinet maker and I’m the only grandchild that is into tools! So I am very lucky!

Not only is it BEAUTIFUL but the fact that your grandfather made it by hand makes it an heirloom and a muse all rolled into one. Creativity and fine craftsmanship runs in the family.

Lynn

That is simply one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. My Dad was a carpenter and I love wood…I can just smell the sawdust!
